Welcome to the 13th International Myotonic Dystrophy Consortium Meeting (IDMC-13)
I hope you, your family, and your members, patients, and friends are all being safe. The COVID-19 is having quite an impact on patients, physicians, and researchers as well as hospitals and pharmaceutical industries. I assume that there will be a new normal in the way.
We decided to hold the next IDMC, IDMC-13 on July 6-10, in Osaka, Japan, well before the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe the spacious venue of Osaka City Central Public Hall will provide enough physical distance. Still, we will closely watch the trajectory of the epidemic and are prepared to take further measures or make decisions, if necessary.
We are looking forward to a scientifically interesting and exciting meeting with leading scientists in the field of Myotonic Dystrophy from all around the world. Together, we will present, share, and discuss new scientific achievements. It should provide a unique opportunity to engage with colleagues, patients’ organizations, and industries and make new connections from around the world. We welcome you all to Osaka and hope that we together will make an unforgettable IDMC-13 meeting.
